Job summary
ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a Special Education Teacher for our elementary learning center in Illinois. The role focuses on delivering differentiated instruction for students with IEPs, using technology-rich resources and creating comprehensive lesson plans aligned with state standards.
The position emphasizes collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators to foster inclusive learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or related field.
- Licensed IL professional educator (PEL) or pursuing it.
- IL Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) credential in progress.
- Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
- Experience with curriculum development and differentiated instruction.
Responsibilities
- Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
- Deliver targeted instruction using innovative curriculum resources and software.
- Create detailed daily lesson plans aligned to standards.
- Maintain organized student records and progress reports.
- Collaborate in co-teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
- Implement PBIS strategies and behavior supports school-wide and in classroom.
