Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share the gospel in a classroom setting with public school students, both churched and unchurched. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

Responsibilities include planning lessons using LifeWise materials, building relationships with students, maintaining a well-organized classroom, and adhering to program policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Teach LifeWise classes using the LifeWise curriculum.
• Plan lessons and map curriculum customization.
• Invest in student relationships and pray for them regularly.
• Maintain an organized, encouraging classroom environment with redemptive discipline.
• Apply LifeWise policies, procedures and resources.
• Take attendance and maintain class rosters and records as needed.
• Prepare materials for substitute teachers as required.
• Keep classroom clean, safe and well-ordered.
• Communicate with school personnel and volunteers about schedules and student welfare.
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in all duties and interactions.
