Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share the gospel in a public school setting. The role requires caring, communicative staff who build relationships with students and uphold LifeWise policies. Training and ongoing certification are part of the position.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and the ability to engage both churched and unchurched students in a respectful, relational classroom.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the 'What We Believe' section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization
• Invest in connecting with students through relationships and prayer
• Maintain an organized, encouraging classroom environment and redemptive discipline
• Maintain attendance, rosters and privacy permissions as needed
• Keep the classroom clean, stocked and well-ordered
• Communicate with school personnel and volunteers, and provide updates to the program director
