Job summary

i2G Systems is seeking an Electronic Security Associate Project Manager to support project managers on large-scale installations and service deployments in Michigan. You will coordinate local engineering, sales, technical teams and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong communication skills and a desire to grow in the technology security sector.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of foundational experience in electronic security, construction coordination, or related technical support.
• Basic familiarity with electronic security platforms such as Lenel, Verint, Axis, Commend, DMP, and fire alarm systems.
• Ability to learn and interpret security blueprints, electrical drawings, and civil construction plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scheduling tools (MS Project, SimPro, Smartsheet) is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to pass a background check and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Interest in pursuing project management certifications such as CAPM or PMP is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Project Support: Assist Project Managers with tracking project lifecycles and schedules.
• Small-Scale Management: Own smaller security integration projects on time and within budget.
• Coordination & Communication: Liaise between i2G team, technicians, subcontractors, and customers.
• Documentation & Quality Control: Maintain project equipment inventory and update drawings and closeout packages.
• Technical Integration: Assist engineers as they program electronic security systems (access control, intrusion, CCTV).
• Document Review: Read and interpret basic security drawings and electrical/civil packages.
• Proposal Assistance: Help create proposals and change orders with sales and engineering teams.
