Job summary

Eight Sleep, Inc. is seeking mechanical engineers to develop products from concept through production from our San Francisco office. You will play a key role on a small, mission-driven team with significant ownership and opportunities for career growth.

The role requires hands-on prototyping, 3D modeling, and collaboration across engineering, design, and manufacturing. Travel to Asia may be required as we scale production.

Qualifications

• Experience with concept development, feasibility studies, and hands-on prototyping.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks, NX, Creo) and related workflows.
• Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes, DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis, GD&T.
• BSME or equivalent; MS preferred; willingness to travel to Asia.

Responsibilities

• Design, build & test complex electromechanical systems, including plastic, metal, and soft goods components.
• Drive designs across the development lifecycle: brainstorming, CAD, prototyping, testing, and ramp to high-volume production in Asia.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering, industrial design, manufacturing, and product teams to shepherd concepts to mass production.
• Perform thermal, fluid, and structural analyses to meet product goals.
