Eight Sleep in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop cutting-edge consumer electronic devices. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in electrical system development and will collaborate extensively with various engineering functions to create impactful products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing mixed analog and digital systems for consumer electronics or similar applications.
• Highly proficient with ECAD packages, especially Altium.
• Expertise with SMT and flex PCB manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design consumer electronic devices incorporating microcontrollers, SoCs, and wireless transceivers.
• Lead electrical system development including schematic capture and reliability testing.
• Collaborate extensively with mechanical engineering and product team members.
• Generate novel ideas and prototype new product concepts.

Skills

Designing mixed analog and digital systems for consumer electronics

Proficient with ECAD packages, especially Altium

Expertise with SMT and flex PCB manufacturing processes

Understanding of DOE, root cause analysis, and quality measuring techniques

Education

BSEE or equivalent (MS preferred)
