Job summary

Andersen Corporation is seeking an Electro/Mechanical Technician II to troubleshoot and repair complex production equipment, emphasizing electrical safety per NFPA 79 and PLC-driven systems. You will mentor technicians and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications include a 2-year degree or equivalent and 5+ years in related fields, with hands-on experience in PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and safety systems. This role is on-site and integral to maintenance excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot PLCs and electromechanical manufacturing equipment.
• Proficient in reading mechanical/electrical prints.
• Experience with electrical safety practices such as lockout/tagout.
• 2 year degree or equivalent and 5 years related experience.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Strong analytical skills and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical functions, drives, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Repair PLCs, ladder diagrams, sensors, motor controls and safety circuits.
• Upgrade troubleshooting via touch screen controls and machine software (G-code & M-code).
• Perform preventative maintenance and document work.
• Contact vendors, order parts, and keep inventory for equipment.
• Assist in deployment of TPM objectives.
• Mentor other technicians and drive continuous improvement.
