Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Auburn, WA is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician III for a rotational day shift (3am-3:30pm). You will diagnose, repair and maintain electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime.

Requires 3–7 years in manufacturing maintenance, an associate degree in related field preferred, knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out and strong analytical skills. Willingness to work overtime and train Level I/II technicians is expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field is desired.
• 3-7 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
• Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
• Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Advanced understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
• Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
• Train Level I and II technicians in more complex tasks and skills
• Performs other duties as assigned
