Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Auburn, WA is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician III for a day rotational shift (3am–3:30pm). The role focuses on electro-mechanical maintenance to support manufacturing operations, diagnose and repair complex equipment, and improve plant reliability.

Associates degree is preferred; 3–7 years of experience and strong safety knowledge are expected. The position offers full-time hours with potential overtime and standby requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field is desired.
• 3–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Must be available for regular standby assignments; overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition.
• Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, and related components.
• Troubleshoot PLC inputs/outputs and repair issues.
• Complete projects adding electrical circuits and controls; relocate machines.
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems; repairs of cylinders and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks following instructions.
• Enter all work in maintenance software/database.
• Monitor spare parts usage and process parts orders.
• Adjust equipment based on SPC data; collaborate with QA.
• Train Level I/II technicians in complex tasks.
