Job summary

Innovative Consulting & Management Services (ICMS) seeks MD licensed electricians to join our Beltsville, MD team for a full-time, onsite contract. Responsibilities include maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 5+ years’ experience, MD journeyman license, and OSHA training. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401K, holidays, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational/technical graduates preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience and Maryland Journeyman License.
• Preventive maintenance per published guidelines.
• Read, follow and enforce safety procedures; capable of suggesting improvements.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and systems with monitoring/control devices.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution, controls and maintenance.
• Ability to repair building systems controlled by EMCS.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to pass a physical exam / fit for duty.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on electrical systems and MEP equipment.
• Troubleshoot and test electrical systems to avoid malfunctions.
• Correct deterioration trends in electrical services.
• Diagnose and repair equipment and system malfunctions within limits.

ICMS is looking forMD State Licensed Electricians to join our team onsite for a contract in Beltsville, Maryland . Successful candidates are responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems with experience in commercial and industrial settings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on electrical systems and electrical system components of MEP equipment
• Troubleshoot and test electrical systems to avoid malfunction
• Correct trends of deterioration in electrical services
• Possess analytical skills necessary to recognize, diagnose, and, within limits, repair equipment and system malfunctions.
• Understand verbal and written instructions and to give readily understood information in both verbal and written forms

Required Qualifications:

• A High School Diploma or GED is standard. Preference is highly weighted toward graduates of vocational/technical programs
• 5+ years’ experience and possess a Journeyman’s License issued by the State of Maryland
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance according to published guidelines
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures and the confidence to suggest additional safety procedures.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and associated systems employing computer/software-based monitoring and control devices
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical, utilities, distribution systems, and controls, including maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to repair building systems that are controlled by a central Energy Management Control System (EMCS)
• Must be able to use hand and power tools applicable to the trade
• Must be able at times to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English.
• Ability to pass a physical examination/ fit for duty assessment

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• A valid state’s driver's license (with no major infractions) is required
• OSHA 10/30 Training
• Journeyman License issued by the State of Maryland
• Applicable industry certifications and training (NEC, HFPA 70E, PLC Training)

Security Clearance:

All contractor personnel must attain and maintain a USDA LincPass and pass a background check; personnel must be U.S. Citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents.

• $5.09 per hour in Health and Welfare Benefits IAW SCA Wage Determination rates

Job Type:

Non-Exempt, Full-Time Onsite Position (Telecommute not considered for this position)

Work schedules are subject to change based on client and company needs. As a management position, this person will be on call regularly and be available for and respond to emergencies off shift.

Hourly Pay

$36.28 per hour
