Job summary

S&ME seeks a Practice Leader for Electrical Transmission & Distribution to drive growth, build client relationships, and develop high-performing teams across geotechnical, environmental, civil and testing services. This leader will shape strategy, expand our presence in the Power & Utilities sector, and align operations with market opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven success driving revenue growth of our core services within Electrical Transmission & Distribution, or similar markets
• Strong network and client relationships in the Power & Utilities sector
• 10+ years of progressive experience in project/program or market leadership roles
• Proven track record of winning and delivering opportunities for multiple clients within the electrical transmission & distribution market
• A Professional Engineer license (PE) is a plus
• Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the Electrical Transmission & Distribution
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the market for our key services: environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering, along with construction materials testing services and special inspections.
• Establish and grow key client relationships at both local and national levels within the market
• Collaborate with local operations and expand existing client relationships
• Leverage your network and industry presence to position S&ME as a trusted partner
• Deliver exceptional client experiences that lead to repeat business and long-term partnerships
• Partner with internal leaders to build the team, capabilities, and resources needed to scale
• Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth
• Ensure projects are executed with a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction
• Stay ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement to keep S&ME at the forefront
