Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on high voltage power systems. You will conduct short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analyses, test protective relays, and document outcomes with actionable recommendations.

With NETA Level III/IV credentials and 7+ years of experience, you will mentor junior technicians, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and travel regionally up to 75% from the Atlanta base.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification in good standing is required.
• Minimum seven years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage.
• Strong understanding of NETA MTS/ATS standards and relay schemes.
• Ability to read diagrams and P&IDs and interpret test data.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct studies: short circuit, coordination, arc flash, power quality.
• Test and calibrate protective relays and insulation/power tests.
• Draft detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and lead project teams.
