Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning and maintenance testing on high-voltage power systems. The role requires up to 75% travel, leadership of junior technicians, and expertise with relay testing and power quality analysis.

The position offers competitive hourly compensation up to $95/hour with OT, signing bonus, and comprehensive benefits. Based in Atlanta with regional/national project assignments.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III/IV certification or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards and protective relays.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct short circuit, coordination, arc flash and power quality studies.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor and contact resistance tests on transformers, switchgear and cables.
• Interpret test results and prepare detailed engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and lead multi-discipline project teams.
