Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing with NETA III/IV certification to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500 kV. You will analyze test results and prepare detailed reports, while mentoring junior technicians and leading multi-discipline teams.

Expect regional to national travel (up to 75%). Competitive base compensation up to $95/hour plus bonuses, with a strong benefit package and professional development

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification required.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.
• Experience with test equipment (Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF).

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Interpret and analyze test results; author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians in the field; serve as technical lead on multi-discipline projects.
