Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking an Electrical Tester I to perform repetitive electrical testing preparation and testing tasks of basic complexity. The role involves inspecting products, equipment, and test booths, preparing connections, and documenting actions in quality forms.

Strong attention to safety and accuracy is required. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with 0–1 year in manufacturing preferred, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Ability to read drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect product prior to testing to detect conformance to standards.
• Inspect testing equipment and test booth/cage for proper operation.
• Prepare product for test by safely making the connections required for test being performed.
• Separate non-conforming parts.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of testing tasks as needed.
• Inspect all work and ensure it meets requirements prior to passing to the next operation.
