Job summary

G&W Electric, based in Romeoville, IL, seeks an Electrical Tester I for the 2:00pm–10:30pm shift to perform repetitive electrical testing prep and basic testing duties. You will inspect equipment, prepare products for test, document actions, and uphold safety standards in a modern manufacturing facility.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, 0–1 year of manufacturing experience, and the ability to read drawings and BOMs, understand English instructions, and use basic tools

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
• 0–1 year experience in manufacturing preferred
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Materials
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow written instructions in English

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect product prior to testing for conformance
• Inspect testing equipment and test booth for proper operation
• Prepare product for test by making required connections
• Document actions in production and quality forms
• Maintain safe and clean working environment
• Conserve resources and assist team as needed
• Train others in testing tasks as required
• Ensure work meets requirements before passing to next operation
