G&W Electric Co has an opening for an Electrical Tester I (6:00pm to 6:00am) in Bolingbrook, IL. The role involves repetitive electrical testing preparation and testing tasks of basic complexity, with duties ranging from inspecting equipment to documenting actions and maintaining a safe work environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and ideally 0–1 year in manufacturing, plus the ability to read drawings and Bills of Material, use basic tools, and follow English

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• 0–1 year experience in manufacturing preferred
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools
• Able to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Materials
• Basic computer skills
• Able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect product before testing to ensure conformance
• Inspect testing equipment and test booth/cage for proper operation
• Prepare product for test by safely making required connections
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment per procedures and rules
• Conserve resources and assist with training others as needed
• Inspect all work for conformance before passing to next operation
