Job summary

G&W Electric Co seeks an Electrical Tester I for early-morning shifts to perform repetitive electrical testing preparation and basic testing tasks in a manufacturing setting. You will inspect product and testing equipment, prepare connections, and document actions to ensure conformance with standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and basic reading of drawings/Bill of Materials, with 0–1 year in manufacturing preferred. Training others may be involved as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• 0-1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Ability to read drawings and Bills of Material.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect product prior to testing to detect conformance to standards.
• Inspect testing equipment and test booth/cage for proper operation.
• Prepare product for test by safely making the connections required for test being performed.
• Separate non-conforming parts.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of testing tasks as needed.
• Inspect all work and ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operation.
