Job summary

G&W Electric Co. in Romeoville, IL is seeking an Electrical Tester I to perform repetitive electrical testing preparation and testing tasks of basic complexity.

You will inspect, prepare and test products, document actions, and maintain a safe, clean work environment. The role offers pay between $22.50 and $23.75 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time, day shift position with opportunities to train others and contribute to quality efforts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• 0-1 year experience in manufacturing environment.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect product prior to testing to detect conformance to standards.
• Inspect testing equipment and test booth/cage for proper operation.
• Prepare product for test by safely making the connections required for test being performed.
• Separate non-conforming parts.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of testing tasks as needed.
• Inspect all work and insure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operation.
