Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking an Electrical Tester I to perform repetitive electrical testing and preparation tasks of basic complexity.

You will visually inspect products, check testing equipment, prepare connections, document actions, and maintain a safe workspace to ensure conformance to standards. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED (or equivalent) and may have 0–1 year of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Basic reading of drawings and Bills of Materials.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect product prior to testing for conformance to standards.
• Inspect testing equipment and test booth/cage for proper operation.
• Prepare product for test by safely making required connections.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment by following procedures and rules.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Train others in testing tasks as needed.
• Inspect all work to ensure it meets requirements before passing to next step.
