Job summary

G&W Electric Co in Romeoville, IL is seeking an Electrical Tester I for a 5:00am to 1:30pm shift to perform repetitive electrical testing prep and testing tasks of basic complexity. You will visually inspect products, prepare test setups, and document actions.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 year manufacturing exposure, ability to safely use small hand and power tools, read drawings and Bills of Materials, basic computer skills, and English instruction comprehension.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent work experience.
• 0–1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect product prior to testing for conformance to standards.
• Inspect testing equipment and booth for proper operation.
• Prepare product for test by safely making required connections.
• Separate non-conforming parts.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Train others in testing tasks as needed.
• Inspect all work to ensure it meets requirements before passing to next operation.
