Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is hiring a Test Technician to lead inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and startup of low and medium voltage electrical equipment in field and shop settings.

The role requires understanding of complex electrical distribution systems and effective use of test equipment, with travel across local to international assignments.

Candidates with 2+ years of experience and knowledge of safety standards are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical experience with a HS Diploma/GED.
• Knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights up to 60 feet.
• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, nationally; international travel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead, and support multiple projects onsite and in-house using company software systems.
• Perform testing of low- and medium-voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, and related equipment.
• Contain material costs by eliminating wasteful practices and implementing control measures.
• Rotate on-call duties and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork.
