Job summary

M.c.-Dean, Inc. is hiring a Test Technician to lead inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and startup of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment in field and shop environments.

The role requires interpreting schematics, using advanced test equipment, and ensuring safety and quality on projects. Travel is required across local, regional, and national sites, with optional international assignments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• Knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead, and support multiple projects onsite and in-house.
• Perform testing of low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, and other electrical apparatus.
• Contain material costs by eliminating wasteful practices.
• Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure commissioning and startup.
