Job summary

M.C. Dean is hiring a Test Technician to lead inspection, testing, troubleshooting and start-up of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment.

You will work in both the field and shop environments and travel locally and nationally as required. The role requires hands-on experience with protective relays, breakers, transformers, switchgear, and related test equipment, along with strong safety discipline and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Experience with testing equipment and protective relays, switchgear, and transformers

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead, and support multiple projects onsite and in-house.
• Test low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, relays, and other equipment.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork on projects.
• Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Maintain detailed test reports and documentation for compliance.
