Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. invites experienced technicians to lead testing, inspection, and startup of low to medium voltage electrical distribution equipment on diverse projects.

You will work in field and shop settings, interpret schematics, and ensure safety compliance while traveling locally and nationally. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical work, familiarity with test equipment, and the ability to diagnose and fix complex power systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• Preferred NETA / NICET certification or equivalent hands-on testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationally; international travel preferred.
• Experience testing transformers, relays, switchgear, and protective devices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead projects onsite and in-house, review documentation from order to invoice.
• Test low/medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, and related equipment.
• Contain costs by eliminating waste and implementing controls.
• Rotate on-call duty and respond promptly to customer emergencies.
• Mentor junior technicians and collaborate with engineers and clients.
