Job summary

Tighe & Bond, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Electrical Systems Design Team in Westfield, MA or Westwood, MA or Woburn, MA. You will contribute to designing electrical systems for infrastructure projects across the Northeast and support energy-efficient building operations.

Gain hands-on experience under experienced engineers, participate in site visits, and build skills with AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, and scripting tools in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
• Coursework or experience in electrical system design, lighting design or fire/security alarm design.
• Interest in pursuing the FE Exam and EIT certification.
• Flexibility, a positive attitude, and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of electrical systems for new construction and building renovations including control wiring and circuit design, lighting design, and fire/security alarm design.
• Support arc flash and coordination studies, power quality analysis researching, examining a wide variety of structure related data.
• Perform engineering calculations, proofreading, and copying of various reports and specifications.
• Participate in construction site visits and field surveys of existing electrical systems.
