Tighe & Bond is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to support roadway and intersection design in the Northeast, with hybrid work options from Westwood, MA or Woburn, MA. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers on infrastructure projects that strengthen communities and promote environmental sustainability.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related degree.
• Coursework or experience related to roadway design or traffic studies or other related coursework and experience.
• Strong interest in transportation engineering, roadway design, or traffic analysis.
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems.
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness.

Responsibilities

• Assist in roadway and intersection design, including traffic control and signage.
• Help prepare construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimate.
• Participate in field visits and construction observations.
• Use design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation to support plan development.
