Job summary

Tighe & Bond is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Mechanical HVAC Design Team in Westfield, MA or Woburn, MA or Westwood, MA. The internship offers hybrid work and the chance to contribute to vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast.

You’ll work with industry experts on HVAC and plumbing systems, gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit, and build a foundation for a career in engineering. This paid co-op/internship supports growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Coursework or experience in heating/cooling load calculations or thermodynamics.
• Previous and relevant internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of mechanical air systems and hydronic systems including drawings, flow diagrams, and details.
• Support heating and cooling load calculations using industry-standard tools/software.
• Assist in the preparation of mechanical design documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Participate in construction site visits and field surveys of existing mechanical systems.
