Job summary

Tighe & Bond is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join the Electrical Systems Design Team in Westfield, MA or Westwood, MA or Woburn, MA. You will work on vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast with hybrid work options.

Responsibilities include electrical system design, arc flash studies, and field surveys while you learn from experienced engineers and grow professionally in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
• Experience with electrical system design, lighting design or fire/security alarm design is beneficial.
• Interest in FE Exam and EIT certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of electrical systems for new construction and renovations, including lighting and circuit design.
• Support arc flash and coordination studies and power quality analysis.
• Perform engineering calculations, proofreading, and copying of reports and specs.
• Participate in site visits and surveys of existing electrical systems.
