Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a Heat-Treating Technician – Electrical Resistance to independently execute PWHT processes using electrical resistance methods. You will prepare, apply, monitor, and document heat cycles on piping, vessels, and weldments in field and shop environments.

Preferred candidates have induction or combustion heat treating exposure and a strong safety mindset. The role offers full-time hours, on-site work in Benicia, CA, and opportunities for growth with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read P&IDs, isometric drawings and equipment specs related to heat treatment.
• Willingness to travel and work extended shifts, weekends, and variable schedules.
• Strong work ethic with safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown electrical resistance heating systems and accessories.
• Execute PWHT and preheat activities per procedures, specs, and codes.
• Layout and install heat treating blankets, insulation, and thermocouples accurately.
• Program, monitor, and record temperature cycles on control units.
• Interpret weld procedures, stress relief specs, and heat treat drawings.
• Troubleshoot equipment and temperature control issues during operations.
• Coordinate on-site with welders, inspectors, and clients; maintain QA/QC records.
• Follow safety rules and assist mentoring of junior technicians.
