Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is hiring a Heat-Treating Technician – Electrical Resistance in Harbor City, CA. You will independently execute PWHT using electrical resistance methods on piping, vessels, and weldments, with preparation, monitoring, and documentation of heat cycles.

You will prefer experience in induction or combustion methods and travel to field or shop environments. A strong safety mindset and ability to work extended shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment screening.
• Ability to obtain TWIC/DISA access credentials for site work.
• 2–5 years of hands-on electrical resistance heat treating in industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of ceramic heating pads, controller programming, thermocouple application, and insulation layout.

Responsibilities

• Operate electrical resistance heating systems, including pads, controllers, and thermocouples.
• Execute PWHT and preheat activities per procedures, codes, and specs.
• Lay out and install heat-treat blankets, insulation, and thermocouples with precision.
• Program, monitor, and record temperature cycles with control units and recorders.
• Coordinate on-site with welders, inspectors, and client representatives.
• Maintain records for QA/QC and client reporting.
