Job summary

IMEG Corp. in Idaho Falls, ID (also Reno, NV and Sacramento, CA) seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical system analysis, design, and implementation oversight for building projects of low to moderate complexity. You will collaborate with senior staff on larger projects and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering and 2–4 years in building design. PE license is preferred; travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required
• Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
• 2 years minimum, 4 preferred, in building design consulting industry
• Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts for technical plans and specs
• Knowledge of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics in buildings
• Proficient with industry standard engineering software and tools including lighting and power analysis
• Knowledge of IES Standards and NFPA resources
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team collaboration
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system analysis and design for building projects
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical info
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling
• Document design decisions and monitor progress against budget
• Conduct peer reviews of designs and calculations
• Stay current on electrical engineering trends and best practices
• Prioritize safety and mitigate risks in designs
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and PMs for integrated solutions
• Identify issues and escalate to Project Manager during bidding and construction
