Job summary

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical design efforts across Idaho Falls, Sacramento, and Reno. You will collaborate with engineers and consultants to deliver compliant, innovative building electrical systems, and mentor junior staff as part of project teams.

The role emphasizes safety, client communication, and adherence to IMEG standards across engineering software, calculations, and coordination workflows.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• PE License is required.
• Minimum 2 years in building design consulting; 4 years preferred.
• Proficient with lighting photometrics and power systems design.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with industry standard design tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for electrical systems and prepare detailed designs, specs, and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information clearly.
• Support project execution, budgeting, scheduling, and team leadership.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress and budget.
• Train and mentor less experienced staff.
• Coordinate with BIM and coordination teams for integrated building solutions.
