Job summary

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Project Engineer to lead design efforts for building electrical systems across multiple projects in California. You will work closely with engineers and clients to ensure code compliance and high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, and 2–4 years of building design experience, with proficiency in industry software including AGI, Elum Tools, SKM/Easy Power, and Revit SET. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• 2–4 years of building design experience.
• Proficiency in design techniques and production of plans and specs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with lighting and power systems software (AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, SKM/PTW, Easy Power, ComCheck).
• Experience with NFPA/IES standards and BIM software (Revit).
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for electrical systems on building projects.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Support project execution with budgeting, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Document design decisions and ensure quality control per IMEG standards.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct design reviews and stay current with industry trends.
