Job summary

IMEG is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical system analysis and design for building projects across multiple locations. The role involves collaborating with clients, budgeting, scheduling, and mentoring junior staff within a 100% employee-owned firm.

The team works on hospitality, mixed-use, government, and MEP projects with a focus on energy-efficient design. Travel up to 10% is required, and a full-time hybrid schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
• 2 years minimum experience in building design consulting; 4 years preferred.
• Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts for technical plans and specs.
• Strong analytical skills in circuit theory, electromagnetism, and power systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system analysis and design, producing detailed designs and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and maintain professional relationships.
• Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Mentor less experienced staff and ensure design progress and quality control.
