Job summary

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Project Engineer to lead design efforts for electrical systems in buildings, acting as project manager or lead engineer for low to moderate complexity projects. You will coordinate with senior staff on larger efforts, provide engineering solutions, manage budgets, and mentor cross-functional teams to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE license is preferred; candidates without may still be considered.
• Experience designing electrical systems for buildings; 2+ years minimum.
• Proficiency with lighting, power, and coordination software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for electrical systems analysis and create detailed designs and calculations.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress, fees, and percent complete.
• Perform in-process design reviews and ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Stay current with industry trends and safety practices; travel up to 10%.
