Job summary

Dow Sabine Operations seeks an Electrical Production Engineer in Orange, TX to optimize, troubleshoot, and design electrical equipment for safe, reliable, and profitable operations. You will spend time in the field ensuring installations meet performance and environmental standards.

The role covers coordination with operations, maintenance, and project development, develops scopes and specifications for industrial electrical systems, and provides technical support across large power systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
• Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.
• Preferred: power-systems experience; safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering to improve reliability.
• Develop scope, design, and specifications for motors, breakers, relays, transformers, substations and other equipment (480V–138kV).
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for reliability and capacity.
• Support large, medium voltage generators and protection systems.
• Assist in maintenance scope and planning for generator turn-arounds.
• Lead small projects to improve reliability; coordinate larger projects.
• Oversee commissioning, startup, and field support of electrical systems.
• Act as electrical technology liaison between project engineers, maintenance and operations.
• Support business teams to improve electrical reliability and reduce costs.
• Provide troubleshooting guidance and evaluate equipment service conditions.
