Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Product Design Electrical Engineer for the EPS team to advance electrical power distribution products used in AWS data centers.

You will drive design across medium voltage switchgear, transformers, busduct, and related infrastructure, ensuring reliability and cost effectiveness across a global footprint. Join a team that collaborates with internal partners and external vendors to deliver scalable, safe, and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Define design requirements with internal partner teams.
• Lead new product design and qualification of electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers.
• Develop Capex and Opex budgets for development costs, prototyping, testing and tooling.
• Coordinate with global suppliers and manufacturers to ensure supply chain resiliency.
• Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC and local building codes across countries.
• Validate designs through prototypes and DFx/value engineering analyses.
• Collaborate with field engineering and commissioning teams to test and validate installations.
• Support manufacturing activities on concurrent projects across geographies.
• Lead within the product development team and with external partners.
