AWS is seeking a Product Design Electrical Engineer for its EPS team to design and improve electrical distribution products used in our data centers worldwide. You will help ensure uptime, reliability, and cost-effective solutions while coordinating with global partners and manufacturers.

You will lead design efforts, validate through prototypes, and work across teams to deliver high-quality electrical infrastructure for AWS customers. Travel to international sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.
• Experience in commissioning and validating complex electrical systems.

Responsabilités

• Solicit customer input and define design requirements for product design.
• Lead new product design, development and qualification of critical electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers.
• Develop Capex and Opex spending budgets with vendors, prototyping needs, testing and tooling requirements.
• Coordinate with global suppliers and manufacturers to ensure supply chain resiliency.
• Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC and applicable codes across countries through testing.
• Validate design through prototypes and first-of-kind builds with DFx and value engineering.
• Collaborate with field engineering and commissioning teams to test and validate installation and performance.
• Provide manufacturing support for concurrent projects in multiple locations.
• Lead the product development team within internal and external groups.
