Qualifications

• Requires 6+ years in industrial or commercial engineering.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience developing solutions for complex projects.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Define design requirements with internal partner teams.
• Lead new product design and qualification of critical electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers.
• Develop Capex and Opex budgets with vendors, prototyping and testing needs.
• Coordinate with global suppliers to specify equipment and ensure tier 2-3 supply chain resiliency.
• Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC and building codes across countries.
• Validate designs through prototype, pre-production and first-of-kind builds with DFx and VE.
• Collaborate with field engineering and commissioning teams to test and validate installation, operation, and performance.
• Support manufacturing activities for new products in multiple locations.
• Lead the product development team and cross-functional groups.
