Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Product Design Electrical Engineer for its EPS team. You will lead design and qualification of electrical power distribution equipment across AWS data centers, driving reliability, cost efficiency and scalable solutions.

You will work with internal and external groups, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with global codes while supporting a broad portfolio from switchgear to transformers and control systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or related fields.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment.
• Experience in commissioning and bringing new designs to operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and qualification of critical electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers.
• Develop Capex and Opex budgets for development costs, prototyping, testing and tooling.
• Coordinate with global suppliers to ensure supply chain resiliency and compliance with codes and standards.
• Validate designs through prototypes and pre-production builds, performing DFx and value engineering.
