Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Senior Product Design Electrical Engineer for the EPS team to own the design, development, and continuous improvement of electrical power distribution products used across AWS data centers.

You will lead cross-functional engineering efforts with internal and external partners, ensuring compliance with international codes and driving reliability, scalability, and cost improvements in global data center infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience developing solutions and executing plans on complex projects.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings and submittal documents.

Responsibilities

• Solicit customer input and define design requirements with internal teams.
• Lead new product design and qualification of electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers.
• Develop Capex and Opex budgets with vendors and testing needs.
• Coordinate with global suppliers to ensure supply chain resiliency.
• Ensure compliance with UL/CSA/IEC and applicable codes across countries.
• Validate designs through prototypes and DFx analyses.
• Test, install, and validate electrical products with field teams.
• Support manufacturing on concurrent projects across locations.
• Lead the product development team and cross-functional groups.
