Job summary

Jacobs, a leader in Advanced Manufacturing, seeks a Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge engineering design and construction on major industrial projects. You will coordinate with internal teams and contractors to develop complete bid packages and ensure constructability.

The role supports data center projects nationwide with up to 50% travel; candidates should be near a Jacobs U.S. office. Base salary ranges from $134,500 to $185,000, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in Electrical engineering or 15 years in industrial construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• General understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical engineering design drawings and specifications for construction purposes.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to resolve design and constructability concerns related to engineering drawings and specs.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities from existing design or modularization approaches.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for construction sequencing and build-out.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with design and schedule.
• Develop and review construction bid packages with design teams for contractor award.
• Coordinate across stakeholders for完整 construction WBS and scope coverage.
• Review Vendor Data Requirement (VDR) submittals for constructability impacts.
