Job summary

Jacobs Advanced Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge design and construction on major industrial projects, including data center work. Travel up to 50% and remote locations across the U.S. are possible; ideal candidates live near a Jacobs U.S. office.

Responsibilities include leading constructability reviews, coordinating bid packages, and engaging early trade partners to optimize sequencing and total scope coverage.

Qualifications

• 8 years in Electrical engineering or 15 years in industrial construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical design drawings for construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of design and constructability issues during preconstruction.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities from existing designs.
• Engage trade partners early during design phase.
• Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope and sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with schedule.
