Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge design and construction for major industrial projects, including data centers. The role coordinates internal teams and contractors to develop comprehensive bid packages and ensure constructability and sequencing are optimized for site delivery.

The position requires leading design reviews, identifying cost-savings, and engaging trade partners early. Travel up to 50% may be required; candidates near Jacobs U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Electrical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience with some technical training.
• General understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical design drawings and specifications for construction.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership resolving design and constructability concerns in engineering drawings and specs.
• Identify schedule and cost-saving opportunities from design or modularization.
• Engage trade partners early in design phase and coordinate cross-discipline electrical scope.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical sequencing and build-out.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor awards.
• Coordinate stakeholders for full construction work breakdown and scope clarity.
• Review Vendor Data Requirement submittals for constructability and impacts.
