Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to bridge the gap between engineering design and construction on major industrial projects. You will coordinate with internal teams and contractors to develop complete bid packages and ensure constructability for on-site electrical work. Travel up to 50% across U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in electrical engineering or 15 years in construction management for industrial projects.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience, including certified technical training.
• General understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting electrical engineering design drawings and specifications for construction purposes.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership resolving in-progress design and constructability concerns related to engineering drawings and specs.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities based on existing design or modularization potential.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of electrical scope for construction sequencing and build-out.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and synchronize with design and construction schedules.
• Develop and review construction bid packages based on design for contractor award.
• Coordinate across stakeholders for full construction work breakdown structure development.
• Assist with reviews of Vendor Data Requirement (VDR) submittals during design phase for constructability and impacts to issued packages.
