James Hardie Building Products Inc. is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead the electrical crew and maintain plant reliability. You will drive plans to reduce breakdowns, improve maintenance programs, and ensure safe, efficient operations at our Chicago-area facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 3+ years of electrical supervision experience in a continuous operating manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of planning/scheduling experience.
• CMMS experience with MP2 or similar program.
• Experience with PLCs, Wonderware, RSView, AB Drives, Siemens Drives, and DeviceNet.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing plans to reduce breakdowns, improve planned maintenance, optimize scheduled maintenance, and effectively execute down-day events.
• Maintaining the facility in a safe manner and to a standard level of equipment availability.
• Reviewing and directing development/training requirements for maintenance employees.
• Managing all maintenance wash up days.
• Participating in wash up day planning, half-time, and follow-up meetings.
• Incorporating plant delay items into weekly wash ups.
• Maintaining close contact with Maintenance Manager to minimize production disruption.
• Driving analysis of electrical down time incidents to root cause.
• Communicating performance to the electrical maintenance technicians.
• Recommending and implementing improvement in maintenance and operational procedures.
• Touring the plant to interact with production, quality, safety, and maintenance to drive cultural change.
• Participating in maintenance and plant safety activities.
• Driving divisional and department KPI’s.
• Developing and promoting the use of CMMS for maintenance and reliability management.
• Participating in down day planning, time to efficiency (TTE), backlog and other items.
• Working with the Maintenance Planner to establish maintenance procedures in the CMMS.
• Developing and leading projects to eliminate maintainability problems in the electrical department.
• Interfacing with mechanical, production, and other departments to facilitate effective maintenance solutions.
