Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to maintain, diagnose and repair power plant equipment in Maryland. The role covers boilers, electrical/control gear, field controllers, instrumentation and motor control centers, with voltages from 120V to 13.8kV.

You will test and service switchgear, breakers, transformers, and perform calibrations, thermography, and ultrasonic testing as part of preventative maintenance, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal technical or apprentice training preferred.
• 3+ years of electrical/instrumentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and testing of low/medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters, and power transformers.
• Maintain higher voltage switchyard equipment and steam turbine generators.
• Perform electrical maintenance for energy-from-waste boilers and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair CEMS and all process instrumentation including sensors and level/temperature devices.
• Troubleshoot DCS and historian devices; perform calibration and preventive maintenance.
