Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair power plant equipment at our Dickerson, MD facility. You will handle boilers, electrical/control equipment, field controllers, instrumentation, and MCCs ranging from 120V to 13.8kV, including AC switchgear.

Responsibilities include testing and maintaining low/med voltage gear, high-voltage equipment, energy-from-waste systems, and CEMS instrumentation, with emphasis on safety and accurate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal technical or apprentice training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and test low/medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters, and power transformers.
• Maintain higher voltage switchyard equipment and steam turbine driven generators.
• Electrical maintenance for energy-from-waste boilers and related equipment (pumps, fans, motors, conveyors).
• Troubleshoot CEMS and plant instrumentation, transmitters, level controls, temperature, flue gas analysis equipment.
• Troubleshoot DCS and historian devices; perform preventative maintenance (calibration, thermography, ultrasound).
