Job summary

Reworld in Maryland is seeking an Electrical & Instrument Lead Technician to ensure the safe, efficient operation of the facility and to lead E&I maintenance across the plant and power generation areas.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on low/medium voltage equipment, switchgear, DCS systems, and instrumentation, while mentoring crew members and coordinating with operations to meet production goals. Shift: Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3pm.

Qualifications

Must possess a High School diploma or GED.
At least 2 years’ experience in the maintenance of power plant systems, equipment, and components.
Experience in waste-to-energy preferred.
Formal technical or apprentice training, military training preferred.
Must have experience in operation and maintenance of electrical systems from 13kV to 120V inclusive.
Experience with turbine generators, instrumentation, and controls.
Must have DCS experience with Emerson Ovation or similar systems.
Experience with fire detection/suppression system controls.

Responsibilities

Takes an active role in coordinating activities with operations and maintenance personnel.
Follows up on all job activities to ensure assignments are completed correctly.
Mentors team members and assists with difficult tasks.
Pre-stages parts from the warehouse and retrieves inventory to expedite work.
Completes reports in Daily Log and maintains E&I logbook.
Maintains communication about schedules and overtime opportunities.
